Danny Treacy
Danny Treacy is a artist based in London, he works primarily with photography, his immersive practice also incorporates elements of sculpture, performance, collecting and anthropology. He has exhibited in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Finland and the U.S. For several years Danny Treacy has been gathering objects from the River Thames. Specifically objects that Treacy feels are representative of the river’s connection to both London and its inhabitants. Treacy locates his practice in marginal zones; areas where communities exist in a fragile state – hidden in plain sight.
“Danny Treacy is like an archeologist, looking for remains of past lives, gathering scattered fragments to reconstitute a picture of our civilization”
