Brighton Photo Biennial
16th October 2018
On the Brighton trip we visited some exhibitions which were Uta kögelsberger - uncertain subjects, Émeric lhuisset - L'autre Rive, Tereza Červenová - June, Harley Weir - Homes, Hrairn Sarkissian - Homesick, Robin Maddock - Nothing we can't fix by running away. My favourite exhibition was also the one which most surprised me which was the exhibition inside the Fabric Gallery; Harley Weir - Homes, as how they displayed their images I found quite unusual as they has printed it out on these big sheets of fabric. Each artist responded to the theme 'A New Europe' as they all had very different kinds of Images. I wasn't very successful at taking photographs as I to distracted a lot and forgot to actually take photos. Next time I would try and take most photos from different angles snd just more photos altogether. On Brighton beach we made cyanotypes. So we got acetates different students had made and made cyanotypes with them on the beach by holding them down in the sun for a while and then washing the chemicals off in the sea and then leaving them to dry off on the beach as people could look at them. The cyanotype I was involved in making was six different acetates merged together.
